Director of an education charity association. Team leader in full-time employment. Logistically minded. Who leads by encouraging cooperation. Believes in levelling up the skills of the team to achieve stronger results. Firm focus on coaching and expectations.
Hello! I’m Kristian Lander, a multi-disciplinary leader, content creator, and communicator based in Nottingham, UK. With over 20 years of experience blending operational expertise, creative storytelling, and a passion for the curious side of life, I thrive on making meaningful impacts—whether that’s building resilient teams in fast-paced environments or exploring life’s mysteries through film, podcasts, and writing. My ethos is simple: curiosity drives progress, and common sense keeps it grounded. I believe in levelling up those around me through coaching, collaboration, and clear communication, all while embracing resilience to turn challenges into opportunities.
Professional Journey
I’ve built a diverse career rooted in leadership and logistics, starting from hands-on roles and progressing to strategic positions. For over two decades at ASDA Stores Ltd in Nottingham, I’ve served as a Section Leader across different departments. Fresh, Ambient, and Warehouse departments. Here, I oversaw teams of multiple colleagues, managing rotas, recruitment, training, stock control, waste management, and customer service standards. I’ve handled complex warehousing operations, including multiple daily HGV deliveries, while consistently achieving KRA compliance and store targets in a demanding inner-city superstore. My approach? Empowering self-sufficient teams by fostering trust, setting clear objectives, and adapting to priorities with pragmatism.
Beyond retail, I’ve taken on voluntary and consulting roles that highlight my logistical mindset. As Logistics Manager and Traders Liaison for Pagan Pride UK from 2009 to 2019, I supported and transformed a vision into the UK’s largest free-to-attend festival, coordinating volunteers, site layouts, risk assessments, trader bookings, budgets, and full liaison with Nottingham City Council and associated parties. This grew attendance from a humble gathering in a pub to over many thousands and international visitors annually, and became a staple in the city’s events calendar. I’ve also consulted as a Production Manager for Smashbox Game Studios, supporting the launch of three commercial mobile games, and contributed to various media and events projects.
Currently, I’m a Director and Media & Publications Officer for ASSAP (Association for the Scientific Study of Anomalous Phenomena), a 40-year-old education and science charity. I manage end-to-end production of weekly TED-style webinars featuring academics and experts in history, psychology, science, and folklore that tie into the exploration of anomalous phenomena. This includes booking guests, filming, editing with Adobe Premiere and Audition, graphic design for thumbnails and promo materials, and distribution across YouTube, Rumble, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts.
I also handle treasury duties, membership databases (700+ members), compliance with Companies House and the Charities Commission, website maintenance, and social media presence with a community of over 10,000 followers.
My certifications include a CAA A2 Drone Pilot Certificate, Forklift Counterbalance License (MENTOR approved), ASSAP Accredited Investigator status, and completed apprenticeships in Team Leadership (Level 3), Retail (Level 2), and Business Administration (NVQ Levels 2 & 3). I’m also a GMB Union Workplace Representative, advocating for fairness in health, safety, and colleague matters.

Creative Passions
Creativity is my outlet for exploring the world. From 2022 to 2024, I was a presenter and researcher on TNT / Todays News Talk supporting the Patrick Henningsen Show, working with Rick Munn, Basil Valentine and others, delivering live news analysis to a global audience of 50,000+ on a 24/7 talk broadcast station. Publishing features with geopolitical news outlet 21st Century Wire.
Earlier ventures include editing Beyond The Line digital magazine (2008-2013) with over 2,000 downloads per issue, hosting the Rabbit Hole That Is Reality radio podcast with the UKC/GC broadcast networks and maintaining the Paranormal Network from 2007-2012. I’ve published around 140 articles on topics surrounding the unexplained, psychology, mythology, and factual evidence.
These interests and varied ventures have led me to appear as a guest on the Lembit Opik Show. BBC, SIPA, Phantom Frequencies, Seriously Strange and many more.
Graphic design, video editing, and social media management are key skills I use across platforms like Adobe Creative Suite, with a knowledge of Corel and Canva.

Personal Side
I’m an observer of the daily tussle—fascinated by people, technology, media, and the Fortean world of anomalies and mysteries. As a member of ASSAP, I present at conferences and produce their webinar series (youtube.com/@assapwebinars, 1.5K subscribers), diving into topics like UAP sightings, hauntings, folklore and the science behind them. I enjoy creating content that illuminates the intriguing, from short films like Peter Pan in Nottingham, presenting presentation essays such as Mermen Of the British Isles and one of the most in-depth dives into the New Jersey Drones with a print publication with personal commendation from a notable Homeland Security officer who was part of the investigations into the veracity of the research. to vlogs on ancient sites and cultural explorations.
Outside work, I’m a family man with a hands-on approach to life, always learning and accepting its mysteries. I’m eligible to work in the UK, and am highly flexible with availability. I’m proficient across Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS, and I maintain an active presence on social media: X (@DefineKristian), Facebook (facebook.com/kristianlander), LinkedIn (linkedin.com/in/kristianlander), and my channels.
