Head of steam famous for emphasizing high-quality cocktails and a great selection of craft beers. Celebrating the first anniversary of their popular venue in the lace market, opening the first floor up to punters to relax and play some games. The pleasant ambience created by some mood lighting, red neon and shadow. Gaming icons mural decorated the venue. Strong hint of grunge, American bar influences with a tickle of steampunk and plenty of hipster.

With 2 shuffleboard tables costing £6,500 a piece setting quite the centrepiece. An American pool table. Tabletop football. Retro consoles, bartop arcade machine running MAME and a digital dartboard. With much more looking to be added in the near future. Was informed they used the night also to be the launch night of a brand new menu.

Menu featured options for all tastes, catering also for vegetarians and vegans. Fresh Pizzas, quirky burgers, gourmet style hotdogs desserts and much more.

Head of Steam can be found at 7 High Pavement close to the Nottingham Contemporary.

It’s a great night out for sure. Really enjoyable sound and vibe of the venue. Shuffleboard was popular amongst the pub goers and sure to be quite the attraction. So many craft beers to choose from, certainly will not be stuck for choice. Good some deal combos of food and drinks to boot. Great if you’re out as a group or party.
